At NAYA, we are all about taking a holistic approach to wellbeing. Your lifestyle choices like what you eat, how much you drink, and how you deal with stress can help (or hurt) your skin’s overall vibrance and health. But also what you are using is important to us when it comes to holistic wellbeing. That we use high quality ingredients. Combining nature’s intent with scientific proven ingredients to transform one skin at a time. And sourcing those ingredients from regenerative farmed cultures. That is why we are particularly proud of the ingredients we are sourcing directly from our families such as Cacay Oil, Passionfruit Seed Oil and one of our newest ingredients.

No 01 Keep a Skincare Journal

Journaling is a simple way to track lifestyle choices and how they affect your skin. Start by writing all the food and drinks you eat daily, making note of how they make you feel after consuming. Do you feel energized? Sluggish? Bloated? Next, ask yourself “How’s my skin feeling today?” and write that down.

By keeping track daily, you can start singling out what’s causing those annoying breakouts. My skincare journal helped me figure out that I break out with avocado, eating too many nuts or nuts in general and react sensitive to too much milk. Sometimes, you’ll find foods that don’t agree with your skin that don’t fall under the gluten, dairy, or sugar categories – like chickpeas and hummus for myself.

Journaling is a great way to find out what types of food or even drinks makes your skin more upset than others. You may find you need to swap some for clearer skin.

No 02 Diet

You’ve probably heard that dairy, gluten, and sugar can play a huge role in whether or not we have clear skin. Not only can these food groups cause inflammation and indigestion, but they can also affect our hormones – which lead to a spike in breakouts. It’s not only what we eat but what we drink. Alcohol and too much caffeine can cause too much acid in your stomach that can cause break out or sensitivity.

No 03 Sweat it out!

Sweating is one of the main functions of our skin. It is an essential part of detoxification for the body. By getting in 30 minutes of sweat daily, you’re able to rid yourself of impurities lodged in your pores and toxins out of your body. Sweating doesn’t have to be an intense HIIT workout – a brisk walk, yoga, hot bath, or sauna will also do the trick!

No 04 Rest

Sleep is such a wonderful time for mind and body. There is a reason that we need to sleep each night – this is the time our bodies combat inflammation, repair damages, increase our blood flow (skin’s nutrients), and build collagen. When we get restful sleep, our skin barrier will be able to heal itself more efficiently and can more effectively combat breakouts.

No 05 Regenerative Farmes ingredients

Use skincare products with regenerative farmed ingredients  – meaning, high-quality ingredients rich in nutrients. your skin recognizes them and knows how to use them. Biocompatible ingredients are small-molecule and never disrupt the skin barrier. When your skin barrier is strong and can use all the potent benefits of natural biocompatible ingredients, it can best fight off blemishes.

All our products are formulated with natural biocompatible ingredients that combat blemishes, such as Willow Bark Extract – often known as nature’s salicylic acid. Natural biocompatible ingredients mean these products will never strip your skin, but instead, balance oil production and provide natural antibacterials and antioxidants to reveal clearer, more even-toned skin.
